Nuevos registros de algas marinas para la costa de Chile. 1

Resumen

Se comunica el hallazgo de 11 nuevos registros de algas marinas para la costa de Chile. Nueve de estas especies: Papenfussiella lutea, Callophyllis pinrnta, Rhodoglossum denticulatum, Schizymenia pacifica, Gymnogongrus flabelliformis, Delesseria crassinervia, Laingia hookeri, Phycodrys isabelliae y Polysiphonia mollis; son reportadas por primera vez para el área; las dos restantes: Delesseria fueguensis y Cladodonta lyalli extienden su límite norte de distribución en esta costa. Todas las especies citadas en el texto están redescritas e ilustradas convenientemente.

Abstract

Eleven new records of benthic marine algae from the Chilean coast in the temperate coast of Southamerica are reported. Nine of this species (Papenfussiella lutea; Callophyllis pinrnta, Rhodoglossum denticulatum, Schizymenia pacifica, Gymnogongrus flabelliformis, Delesseria crassinervia, Laingia hookeri, Phycodrys isabelliae and Polysiphonia mollis) were not reported from the Chilean coast before this time, whereas the two remain species (Delesseria fiteguensis and Cladodonta lyalli) represent northem range extensions from the coast of Chile. All of this species are redescribed and illustrated.
