Presencia de la especie exótica Cnesterodon decemmaculatus (Jenyns 1842) (poeciliidae: cyprinodontiformes) en el Embalse Machicura, cuenca del Río Maule, Chile.

Resumen

 Se entrega el primer reporte documentado de la “Gambusia Manchada” (Cnesterodon decemmaculatus (Jenyns 1842)) en la cuenca hidrográfica del río Maule, específicamente en el embalse Machicura, donde se capturó un espécimen macho, maduro. El trabajo entrega información geográfica y de calidad del agua asociada al registro, además se entrega información la merística y morfométrica del espécimen.

Abstract

The finding of a Cnesterodon decemmaculatus (Jenyns 1842) specimen in the Maule river basin, specifically in the Machicura reservoir, is reported. This record extend its geographical distribution about 250 km thowards southern chilean waters. The caught specimen was a mature male. This work provides geographic and water quality information about the record, also meristics and morphometric information of the sample is provided.
