Comportamiento reproductivo del loro tricahue (Cyanoliseus patagonus byroni) en condiciones de semicautiverio

Resumen

En el presente trabajo se efectuó un estudio de la conducta reproductiva del Tricahue (Cyanoliseus patagonus byroni), en condiciones de semicautiverio, en la Reserva Nacional Rio Clarillo. Se confeccionaron y aplicaron etogramas para registrar la conducta individual y social de los ejemplares. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron establecer que existe relación entre la cercanía de los animales y sus vínculos sociales. Se identificó la formación de parejas, las cuales presentaron conductas de apareamiento y nidificación. Estos animales forman parejas monógamas, ocurriendo, en baja frecuencia, cambios de pareja sexual durante un mismo periodo reproductivo.

Abstract

During this work it was made an ethological study of the reproductive behaviour of Cyanoliseus patagonus byroni under halfcaptivity conditions, at the Rio Clarillo National Reserve. Ethograms were made and applied in order to register the individual and social behaviour of the animals. The results obtained allowed to establish the existence of a relation about the neighbourhood of the animals and their social entails. The presence of coupling in pairs, which showed mate and nestling behaviour was identified. This animals form monogamous couples. Changes of the sexual partner during one reproductive period do not occur frequently.
